Terry Adams, Anita Byrd, Jack Tillman, Kevin Jackson

During National School Lunch Week, SMS was fortunate to have professional sports stars visit our school. Those attending and signing autographs for students were pitcher Terry Adams, football's Kevin Jackson and boxer Jack Tillman.

Terry is a graduate of MGM and played pro baseball with the Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies, Toronto Blue Jays and won a World Series ring as a member of the Boston Red Sox.

Kevin Jackson played football with the University of Alabama where he won many honors including All SEC and was Head Coach and Defensive Co-ordinator of the Arena football championship team in Canton, Ohio. He also played for the Arizona Cardinals and the Buffalo Bills.

And last but not least, was our own Jack Tillman, former North American Welterweight boxing champion who boxed for 10 years and was the number two contender in his weight class.
